Walnut Cottage is a former farm worker’s building dating back to the 17th century, timber framed with many beams on display, under a clay tile roof. This well-equipped, beautifully furnished ground floor cottage has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, including new kitchen, utility room, bathroom facilities, double glazing and underfloor heating throughout.

All our beds have the finest, crisp, white Egyptian cotton linen, duck and down feather duvets and pillows, but we can provide hypoallergenic replacements if requested. We provide fluffy white bath and hand towels, towelling robes and a range of toiletries to heighten your enjoyment of the quality bathroom facilities.

Walnut Cottage now has full-fibre, superfast broadband with wifi delivering download speeds of up to 1 Gb/s facilitating excellent communications and access to latest TV streaming services.

Master bedroom: king-size double bed looking onto the courtyard garden; ensuite bathroom including bath with shower over; WC and basin.

Second bedroom: twin beds looking onto the courtyard garden; ensuite walk-in shower; WC and basin.

Kitchen: well-equipped galley-style kitchen leading to utility room with laundry facilities and fridge/freezer.

Sitting/dining room: looking on to private rear garden; satellite tv service; wifi;  dining area; log-burning stove.

The properties are rented on a self-catering basis, but we provide an initial supply of the following items:

Kitchen: Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, quality tea & ground coffee, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, bin liners, anti-bac spray, tea towels.

Bathrooms: Toilet rolls, Cole & Lewis shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, hand/body cream. Bath and hand towels, bath/shower mats, towelling robes are provided.

BBQs: Charcoal, kindling, fire-lighters, matches, cooking utensils.

Log-burning stove: Complimentary supply of logs, kindling, fire-lighters, matches.

Outside space: private rear garden with raised terrace and garden furniture. BBQ available. Feature lighting. Hot tub hire is available by arrangement and subject to additional charges.

Parking: beside the Cottage in gated courtyard.
